Hosane lightens your mental load!
Have I thought about buying diapers? What time does the meeting with the service provider start tomorrow? Saturday evening, Emi and her little family are coming over for dinner... what are we going to prepare for them? Am I going to the market on Saturday? I have to remember to start washing the sheets when I get up tomorrow morning... Oh yes, I bought some diapers but I don't know if the brand I chose is safe. Does it contain substances that could be harmful to my baby's health? I have to remember to consult the package and look for its composition.
This is my night… At two in the morning, all these questions assailed me and I had difficulty going back to sleep. And these questions , these organizational concerns obsess me all day long, I must not forget anything, even during my rest time I cannot relax, I think constantly .
Do you recognize yourself there? Does this scenario speak to you?
When I discussed it with Emi, she said, “Welcome to the club! What you're experiencing with the arrival of the baby, the creation of our business and the household chores that continue to pile up, it's 100% normal. It's called mental load ... Yes, this illness has a name and many of us, working mums, suffer from it! »
The mental load? I opened my eyes wide.
-> Mental load, what is it?
First of all, girls, know that this is a largely female illness... Why? Because, firstly, of the still unequal distribution of domestic tasks (women carry out 72% of household tasks and 65% of parental tasks)! We women now lead our professional lives at full speed, but work at home is still too largely done by us...
So, we have to combine professional and personal life, and that’s where things start to get “hot”…
We are in overload when our brain simultaneously thinks about questions belonging to seemingly separate sectors of our lives.
Ultimately, our brain is in turmoil 24 hours a day, we think all day - and even at night! - with the countless tasks to be carried out, we can no longer rest...
(Over-)loaded our brains... it heats up too much and it ends up short-circuiting... Do you understand the concept?
-> But then, how to cope?
Following this discussion with Emi, we talked a lot about this evil. And the Hosane team is here to give you some anti-lost tips!
1. Become aware of your mental overload and put your discomfort into words: this is a fundamental first step towards change.
2. Share, dialogue : after personal awareness, talking to others is the second step towards zenitude. Talking about it is already a way of laying down your burden. Putting it into words allows you to distance yourself and analyze. In a word: don't be alone with this weight.
3. Prioritize, make to-do lists : the brain hates the unexpected, vagueness, confusing things. Make written lists of the tasks you have to do, classify them by categories (using pretty colors) and prioritize them. Cross out your achievements as you go: the brain loves to see progress! With emi, this year to better organize our work we added a new tool in addition to our Gantt Chart, it's Trello (we'll let you discover this super practical tool: https://trello.com/fr )! Big boost in self-esteem in perspective!
4. Avoid multitasking as much as possible : doing several things at the same time is typically a bad idea... It consumes a lot of energy and is ultimately counterproductive. Focus on one task, start and complete it! And when you prepare your to do lists, always ask yourself if they are not too long to be achievable... Another big confidence booster! To help you you can also create rituals in the tasks to be carried out for example every: Mondays it's a baby machine, Tuesday a linen machine etc... Emi also has a mantra on this subject: “For every minute spent organizing, it’s an hour saved”
5. Breathe, let go, wander mentally : make way for full awareness!
Be positive: the mental load goes hand in hand with the emotional load. All the kind messages, all the moments of daydreaming, all the daydreams, all the moments where we just savor the present moment do the body good, help to release pressure and allow us to refocus on what is essential.
6. Delegate! Mini can spend a few days with Mamina or Papounou, the nice colleague can take charge of part of the file that THE boss or the CEO gave you this morning for yesterday, chou will vacuum the whole house this weekend ( he loves it, you just have to remind him). You certainly have to talk, you also have to ask: by stating things clearly, you will see that suddenly you have allies around you ready to help you! Yes we believe it #loidelattraction
7. Use Hosane products !
“Hosan? But why then? » you will tell me…
